9 Years in Junior Showmanship (2011-2020)

I began competing in Junior Showmanship when I was 10 years old, my first show was in Albert Lea, Minnesota under Judge Eugene Blake with a Whippet bitch, CH Wildwest Warm Summer's Breeze, aka"Summer". My first Junior's dog I handled was a Bernese Mountain Dog bitch, CH Jenda's Custom Maid aka "Cuda" which whom with I received my first Best Junior in Grand Island, Nebraska under Judge Kathy Forbes and from there I was hooked.

I continued to compete in Junior Showmanship over the years with a number of different breeds. Some of my most memorable times in Juniors would be in Cambridge, Minnesota with CH Heirborn's Legend of the Fowl, aka "Tristan" a Flat Coated Retriever dog, when we were put up for Best Junior under Judge Charlotte Patterson. Another memorable moment would be in Lake Elmo, Minnesota with "Summer" when we received a Best Junior under Judge Karen Wilson.

I am a Class of 2020 Lawton-Bronson Alumni, in which I graduated with honors. I was heavily involved in Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Chorus, Jazz Chorus, Honor Chorus and National Honor Society. In Band I played the Oboe and the Alto Saxophone; in which I received a "Division 1" rating at solo/ensemble in 2019 playing "Sonatina (Based on Trio V)" by Joseph Hayden. My future plans include attending Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, Iowa majoring in AgriBusiness Technology, while also showing dogs.

Along with competing in Junior Showmanship, I also have competed in numerous Specialties, Nationals as well as the Breed.

Westminster Kennel Club, 2020

I qualified for Westminster 2020 in Junior Showmanship. We are required to get 7 "Best Junior Handler" throughout the fiscal year of October 2018 - October 2019.

I handled GCHS CH RiverMist Broxden Sovereign MVP "Mario" owned by Joe & Dawn Droel and myself. There were over 100 Junior Handler competitors for this prestigious event. I was fortunate enough to make the Final 8 to compete for Best Junior Handler.

I'd like to personally thank Judge Sioux Forsyth-Green for advancing Mario and I to the finals.
