Currently I am President of the Great Plains Kennel Club of Northwestern Iowa. This non-profit club has been created and is governed by the local dog owners, breeders and handlers of Siouxland. We have a great club going on with fantastic volunteers that engage in the community which ever chance we get when it comes to K9 Education!
Great Plains Kennel Club frequently hosts Obedience classes of multiple levels for the owner as well as their pet. From Puppy Kindergarten to Conformation classes and general obedience. Our club works in co-junction with the Siouxland Animal Adoption & Rescue by hosting events in the community such as "Meet the Breeds" and "Fur Festival" to bring awareness to homeless dogs in the community.
My daughters and I have also assisted with teaching 4-H kids conformation classes that are interested in showing their dogs in conformation at the local fairs.
